Overnight Orange Cinnamon Rolls
It’s been too long!Merry Christmas and Happy (Almost) New Year!
We flew down to California and enjoyed some much needed family time. It was absolutely wonderful.
For Christmas morning, I made these orange cinnamon rolls. My mom used to buy us a Pillsbury version as kids and I loved them and I don’t know why but I had really been craving these. I was a little nervous about making...

Sweet "Egg"nog Bread
Yes, OK? I love eggnog. Don’t hate me.
Well, I actually love soy nog. It’s creamy, rummy and nutmegy- yum.
I know that a lot of people aren’t a fan but I really enjoy cooking with eggnog because it’s so thick and flavorful- it’s a lot like using cream. I found a non-vegan recipe for this bread and I happily veganized it. My mom always makes a lemon cake for...
Vegan Christmas Treats
I made some Christmas goodies for my co-workers. I love sharing delicious vegan things with non-vegans. It let’s people taste for themselves that veganism can be really delicious…it’s not all carob and oats, ya know?
I made chocolate fudge and peppermint bark. I was surprised that vegan white chocolate is hard to find but luckily I live in Portland and have every vegan...

Pumpkin Corn Chowder
It snowed today!
It was so beautiful and Christmasy. I loved it. We are really enjoying the winter weather here in Portland. Over the weekend we had our friends over for dinner on another very wintery evening. Jeremy made fresh french bread that was so delicious and warm. Perfect for a cold December night. I had to work that day so I decided to utilize the crock pot to do my cooking for me.

Christmas Inspired Cupcakes!
I’ve been dying to make these and I finally got to yesterday. I Love incorporating unique flavors into familiar ones and that what I did here. Two of my favorite holiday things are currently at the grocery store: soynog, peppermint joe joes, and peppermint chocolate soymilk!!!
I used these things to turn regular cupcake recipes into Christmas treats. And may I say, they are amazing....
sarahsunderman asked: My office is having a Christmas potluck and they are all freaking out about having a vegan in the office!
What are some good, non-veg friendly, vegan potluck dish ideas? I also need a dessert they'll love.

An Overdue Post: Roasted Red Pepper Spread
Sorry Sorry Sorry.
The card reader broke, I got sick and… excuses, excuses.
But this post is a good one. This recipe is one of my favorites. I made this dip/spread/thingy for my girlfriends a while back and they all asked me for the recipe. It has great flavor and leaves the snacker wondering “what’s in this”?..
This traditional Syrian dish called Muhammara. This...
Crustless Quiche
Continuing with the whole “no to low sugar” thing- these quiches are pretty tasty. I love a flaky crust but I thought I would try these because they’re pretty healthy and I love quiche. This is another recipe from Fat Free Vegan Kitchen, a great resource. Check out the link and try these quiches!
Vegan Semi Sweet Pear Bars
I’m calling these semi-sweet because I tried really hard to avoid using sugar. I feel like the Universe is wanting me to eat less sugar, which I am NOT ok with. My sister in law, housemate, friend and co-worker have all informed me in the last month or so that they are avoiding sugar. This sounds like sheer torture but I am willing to attempt it in order to be a healthier me. However it is...
Tofu, Corn & Yam Enchiladas
OK I have a new job and have been lagging on the blog. Also- I left my camera charger at my parent’s over the holiday so needless so say I haven’t been regularly updating.
But I have been cooking!
I have been craving enchiladas for hecka days! My mom used to make them all the time and I loved them. She made chicken enchiladas with a green sauce probably once a month, it was a...
Vegan Quiche
There are some things that I knew I would miss once I became vegan; Baked brie and cheesy artichoke dip to name a few. Quiche was also something that I knew I would never be able to enjoy again. But this recipe- oh man this recipe- it has revived my faith in vegan quiche.
This past week we were hanging out with family and my mother-in-law had these little phyllo dough crusts. We made them into...
